Creating a Sitemap file

Sitemap is an XML-based file format designed to facilitate the indexing of your site by search engines. This file contains the addresses of pages, frequency, and the date of renewal, the importance of pages and so on.

Sitemap-files are created in many different ways, from manual drawing up special programs or scripts. I'll describe the easiest way to create a Sitemap using the online service, a number of addresses that are easy to find on the Internet. I used the service http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/.

So, all we need is to enter the URL of your site (Starting URL), select the refresh rate (Change frequency), date of last modification site (Last modification) and click on "Start".
Creating takes some time, and then will be asked to download the file in one of the suggested formats. Service is limited to 500 pages processed.

The resulting file is saved in the root directory of a site under the name sitemap.xml.

Отже, все що нам треба це ввести адресу вашого сайту (Starting URL), вибрати частоту оновлення (Change frequency), дату останньої модифікації сайту (Last modification) і натиснути на кнопку "Start".
Створення займе деякий час, після чого буде запропоновано завантажити отриманий файл в одному із запропонованих форматів. Сервіс має обмеження в 500 оброблюваних сторінок.

Отриманий файл треба зберегти в кореневій директорії сайту під ім'ям sitemap.xml.
